It is widely understood that there is a vast field of knowledge referred to as Cosmic Consciousness. It contains all the glowing yet heart-wrenching facts about life, love and purpose, including every human’s participation in this ever-expanding wisdom.

Through circumstances previously set up on the Spirit side, the Great Creator requests that selected "volunteers" be picked up from Earth by His personally trained instructors and transported to His cosmic education center on planet Rapture. Here, these students are exposed to what is essential to understand about the many challenges a Soul faces on the Earth plane, about connecting to their True Selves, and about activating that Divine Pulse within - The Voice!

Coming to terms with this vast array of personal growth issues is a must before these novices can be returned to Earth to assist their fellow humans in their growth challenges. Their training proves to be the necessary prelude for a much anticipated and desired Shift in Consciousness due for their home planet. This rigorous and demanding program prepares them for that purpose by guiding them through a process that reveals itself as the next wave for all humans - Conscious Evolution!

4307 Turmel, Maurice J. Parables for a Modern Age Vol 1. (reviewed in 1996 under 1st title “Mythical Times.”) Illustrated by Monica Yakiwchuk. Dr. Moe Publishers, 1996 & 2003.

This illustrated collection of stories, meditations, and fables explores the theme of the Soul’s purpose on Earth. Turmel’s characters talk with angels, their own souls, and God. Eventually, they learn to benefit from the input of higher wisdom and to attune themselves to their own soul nature. As each story ends, they find that “all was well with their world.”

The author’s philosophy is rooted in a generic and nondenominational form of Christianity. His God is a benevolent father figure, and his message is a positive one that involves attending to the higher purpose in one’s life, connecting to one’s soul and working toward a harmonious relationship with others and with nature.

The book’s message and presentation might also appeal to the young and, when used as a starting point for personal meditation, the unconscious mind.

Re: “Parables on Grief and Loss” by Maurice Turmel

“I have read several books on grief and loss and I can safely say that “Parables on Grief & Loss” has been my number one source of consolation. This book is easy to read and struck many chords for me. In fact, I saw myself in so many of the stories, I felt the book had been written just for me.”

Mrs. A. Richard, Port Colborne, Ontario (lost her husband in 1996)

They are therapeutic, written in simple fashion, appealing to men, women and children, who have found themselves in the circumstance of grief, with a wounded heart. Thank you Dr. Turmel for sharing your own heart with us.”

“Even though references to God are Christian in tone ‘Parables on Grief & Loss’ will appeal to persons of many faiths suffering the experience of loss. The stories are simple and hold interest, offering much comfort, insight and motivation to share one’s Grief, that being essential to the healing process.”
